Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate music lessons to primary school students, fostering their creativity and musical skills.
  • Teach fundamental music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, and basic instrument techniques.
  • Encourage active student participation through singing, movement, and playing instruments.
  • Create opportunities for students to perform and showcase their learning at school events and assemblies.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into wider curricular activities and school initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inspiring classroom environment that supports exploration and enjoyment of music.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Music Education, Elementary Education with Music specialization, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching music to primary-aged children is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basic music theory, vocal techniques, and classroom music instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to working with young learners and their families.
  • Creativity, patience, and passion for teaching music to children.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
