Employment Type: Full-Time, 1 Year/ 1 Month Base Office / 6 Months /1 Month- Field Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Printer Technician to support our clients on-site across various locations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ricoh printers (e.g., IMC3000 series) and HP printers, with strong troubleshooting abilities, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, configuration, and servicing of Ricoh (e.g., IMC3000 series) and HP printers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site at client premises.
• Conduct preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on service activities.
• Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
• Liaise with the technical support team for escalated or complex repairs.
• Educate and guide end-users on basic printer operation and care.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, IT, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing printers, preferably in a field service role.
• Strong technical knowledge of Ricoh multifunction printers (especially IMC3000 series) and HP LaserJet and Office Jet printers.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of both hardware and firmware issues.
• Experience with preventive maintenance schedules and reporting.
• Good communication skills in English and/or French.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel across various client sites within the DRC.

Preferred:

• Experience with printer networking and connectivity setup.
• Certifications from Ricoh or HP (a plus).
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (Windows OS, print servers, etc.).
