This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Designer to join our Iraq Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an International Client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.

Projects include both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out assigned Process design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
  • Maybe required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations
  • To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project s, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements
  • To provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and construction
  • Preparation of all types of Process design deliverables such as PFD s, P&ID s and Process Safeguarding Diagrams
  • Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD
  • To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline
  • To promote safe behavior at all times

Desired Candidate Profile

Expected:

  • Diploma or HND in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel and Word
  • Experience in Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design is required
  • Experience in the preparation and co-ordination of Process design deliverables
  • Compliance with industry, international and Client Codes and standards. Onshore Oil and Gas related Process design experience
  • A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
  • Extensive experience with prefabricated, packaged plant design
