Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Production Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to achieve higher production rates, efficiency, and quality. They will design, develop, and implement new methods, systems, and best practices to enhance the overall productivity and cost-effectiveness of the organization's operations.

  • Analyze current production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output
  • Perform process simulations, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the feasibility and impact of process improvements
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, operating instructions, and training materials to ensure consistent and reliable manufacturing procedures
  • Oversee the implementation of new processes and procedures, providing guidance and support to production teams
  • Monitor production data, variances, and cost reports and recommend adjustments to minimize errors and production issues
  • Update the manufacturing database to reflect accurate costing information based on market raw material prices
  • Collaborate with the CPD (Product Development) and CSD (Customer Service) teams to produce accurate product and spare parts catalogs
  • Assist in the planning and layout of factory operations to optimize workflow and maximize productivity
  • Analyze technology system inputs, outputs, and bottlenecks to identify opportunities for performance improvements
  • Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall objectives of the organization

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Power or Production
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in technical drawing and computer applications such as AutoCAD, MS Word, and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex manufacturing challenges
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Technical background in mechanical processes, such as welding and metal forming, is preferred
