Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with the site's HSE standards.
- Participate in audits, inspections and risk analyses.
- Ensure environmental and regulatory reporting.
Performance monitoring and optimization
- Monitor daily performance (water production, energy, quality, chemistry).
- Identify discrepancies, propose and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize energy and chemical consumption (OPEX reduction).
- Supervise the management of waste and hazardous products.
Technical analysis & continuous improvement
- Leverage SCADA/DCS and laboratory data to diagnose anomalies.
- Perform energy, water and chemical balances.
- Participate in continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Operations support
- Provide technical support to shift supervisors and operators.
- Participate in investigations following incidents or quality deviations.
- Contribute to planned shutdowns and critical maintenance operations.
Mobilization & Pre-Operation Phase
- Supporting the commissioning and putting into service of the facilities.
- Collaborating with the EPC team to address outstanding issues and accept the site.
- Contribute to the drafting of procedures and the planning of operational needs.
Reporting & Compliance
- Produce weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Monitor contractual and internal KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, HSE and environmental standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Training:
- Engineering degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
Experience :
- 5 to 8 years of experience in desalination, water treatment, energy or process industry.
Technical skills:
- Excellent command of desalination processes (RO, pre/post-treatment) and energy production.
- Good knowledge of SCADA/DCS, CMMS tools and energy/chemical balances.
- Solid understanding of HSE management and operational optimization.
Behavioral skills:
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Team spirit, rigor and technical leadership.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
LANGUAGES :
- Fluent French.
- Fluent Arabic.
- Technical English preferred.
