Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Basis of Design (BoD), Process Philosophy, and Treatment Technology Selection for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), STP, ETP, MBR, and Industrial Water treatment systems based on raw water quality and contractual requirements.

  • Review and approve PFDs, P&IDs, Mass & Energy Balances, Hydraulic Calculations, Equipment Sizing Sheets, Control Narratives, and Process Descriptions, ensuring consistency across disciplines.

  • Conduct and lead HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Assessments, and Design Safety Reviews, ensuring all potential operational and maintenance risks are mitigated through reliable design strategies.

  • Oversee and technically evaluate vendor proposals for UF Systems, Dosing Packages, Clarifiers, Aeration Systems, Sludge Dewatering Units, DAF Units, and ensure compatibility with project requirements.

  • Act as the primary technical interface with Client, Consultant, EPC, and Internal Teams, responding to technical clarifications, leading design review meetings, and presenting process justifications.

  • Mentor and allocate tasks to process engineers, ensuring timely delivery of engineering outputs, adherence to standards, and proper documentation.

  • Support commissioning teams during start-up and performance guarantees, troubleshoot process bottlenecks, optimize energy and chemical consumption, and ensure treated water meets contractual KPIs.
