Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and validate detailed process simulation models for refinery units and other hydrocarbon processing facilities using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, AVEVA ROMeo, APS, and Honeywell UniSim.
Build and optimize kinetic reactor models to accurately represent complex chemical reactions and process conditions.
Provide technical leadership in process modeling and simulation, guiding cross-functional teams to implement modeling solutions for operational and strategic decision-making.
Lead the development of digital twin solutions, integrating process simulation models with other software components such as data analytics, machine learning, and optimization systems.
Troubleshoot operational issues in hydrocarbon processing units by analyzing simulation results and providing actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify modeling requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver tailored solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and deliver company-led training courses on process modeling.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies, such as hybrid modeling techniques and the application of AI/ML in process simulation, and apply this knowledge to improve modeling accuracy and efficiency.
Develop and implement best practices, standards, and procedures for process modeling and simulation within Saudi Aramco.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
