Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting a Procurement Acquisition Supervisor and the ERP consultant to strengthen our team in Iraq. This is a full-time onsite position based in Basra, Iraq.

Rotation : 4X4


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides Compliance analysis (Anti-corruption and due diligence) of the Potential Suppliers, including supplier information, Ownership Structure, Bank information, Conflicts of interest and Ethical practices, etc.
  • Support Supplier set up in Supplier management system and the Purchase to Pay system, including Bank account change.
  • Supports the Controls Manager to monitor controls activities as per the controls calendar (incl. controls report, in-line-file reviews, annual inventory count, controls catalogue, business contingency plan, etc.).
  • Supports the Controls Manager to review existing processes and procedures and recommend enhancements.
  • Conduct in-line-file reviews to ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
  • Ensure that identified gaps are properly documented and closed.
  • Conduct Compliance training to Procurement personnel and Business Lines when appropriate.
  • Report to Controls Manager of Procurement Department.

Skills/Knowledge Developed:

  • Strong background/knowledge of Acquisition, Payables, Supply Chain and Warehousing activities.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements (FCPA, Controls, Business Practices, anti-corruption, and due diligence)
  • Strong knowledge of systems (Maximo and IDEAS, preferably)
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong analytical, stewardship and reporting skills
  • Ability to Influence without authority

  • Procurement staff
  • Local business lines
  • Support functions (Law, Controllers, Tax and Treasurers)
  • Payables Organization

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Education in Business or Science
  • 10+ year experience in Procurement (O&G or Project Management sector preferred)
