Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute the group procurement strategy aligned with organizational objectives.

Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with global standards (ISO 20400, CIPS).

Lead procurement transformation initiatives (centralization, digitalization, category management).

Monitor procurement market trends, risks, and innovations to maintain competitiveness.

Operational Management

Oversee sourcing, supplier qualification, contract negotiation, and purchasing across all group companies.

Ensure effective category management for major spend areas (construction, operations, services, IT, logistics, etc.).

Implement demand planning and procurement forecasting in coordination with operations and finance.

Approve high-value contracts and purchase agreements within delegated authority.

Financial & Compliance Control2

Drive cost savings and value creation through effective negotiation, supplier consolidation, and strategic partnerships.

Ensure full compliance with local regulations, group policies, and international standards.

Establish KPIs for procurement performance, cost efficiency, and supplier reliability.

Collaborate with Finance to optimize working capital, payment terms, and budget utilization. Supplier & Stakeholder Management

Develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and vendors.

Lead supplier performance evaluation and continuous improvement programs.

Manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and geopolitical issues.

Partner with internal stakeholders (Operations, HR, IT, Legal, Projects) to ensure procurement supports business objectives. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team across multiple sites/companies.

Build a culture of ethical procurement, transparency, and performance excellence.

Implement training and succession planning for procurement professionals.

Required Skills:

Bachelor s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field (master s preferred).

Procurement/supply chain experience.

12 15+ years of progressive procurement/supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and procurement digital platforms.

Professional certification: CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent strongly preferred.

Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, contract law, and vendor management.

Proven track record in multinational or large-scale industrial groups.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
