Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Sourcing & Alternatives: Source unavailable items, suggesting and submitting alternative suppliers or solutions to technical departments for immediate approval to maintain project flow.
Compliance & Specification: Receive technical specifications (from projects or departments), re-characterize them according to common technical standards and codes, and ensure accurate coding for easier purchasing.
Order Processing & Systems: Receive and verify Purchase Orders (POs) against approved budgets and procedures, issue corresponding POs, and manage their implementation in collaboration with the warehouse and finance teams.
Tender & Contracts: Assist in performing procurement activities, including pre-qualification, contract negotiation support, and participating in the preparation and review of bid proposals.
Reporting & Tracking: Create monthly and weekly reports detailing procurement status, unimplemented or delayed POs (with reasons), inventory control summaries, and overall purchase activities.
Process Improvement: Review current procurement processes and deliverables to ensure a high service level with a continuous focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor of Engineering.
Experience: 0 2 years of experience in a Procurement, Technical Buying, or Supply Chain role.
Technical Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and re-characterize technical specifications/standards. Good understanding of warehousing, inventory control, and operational systems (ERP/CRM).
Software Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Soft skills: Excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
