Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the procurement engineering team to ensure efficient sourcing of materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and support cost optimization, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
- Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers to establish long-term partnerships and secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee the preparation and review of technical specifications, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to identify procurement needs and resolve technical or supply chain challenges.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier reliability and quality.
- Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and report on cost savings and process efficiencies to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards throughout the procurement process.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, engineering, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in managing procurement teams and leading cross-functional projects.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- In-depth understanding of engineering specifications, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, office-based environment and manage multiple priorities.
