Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Source and procure civil and construction materials in line with project requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate contracts to ensure the best commercial and technical deal.
  • Coordinate with project, engineering, and planning teams to understand material requirements.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials while adhering to project timelines.
  • Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams for material delivery and inventory tracking.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline is mandatory.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in procurement, specifically dealing with construction materials.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of local and international suppliers, especially within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
