Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, and services to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure optimal procurement agreements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and technical specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company standards and timely delivery.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and alternative materials for cost savings and innovation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical or supply issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
Proven experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Purchasing within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications and translate them into Procurement Requirements.
- Proficiency in Procurement Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
