Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality construction materials and services at competitive prices.
- Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules, budgets, and cost codes.
- Ensure procurement contracts
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction projects.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate quality and cost-effectiveness of materials and services.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
- Maintain records of all procurement activities for transparency and auditing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Holds a professional certification such as Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Demonstrates a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, specifically within the construction and contracting industry.
- Has a proven track record of successfully negotiating complex contracts and achieving cost savings.
- Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, specifically within the construction and contracting industry.
- Exhibits a strong work ethic, with a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems, such as ERP and e-procurement platforms.
