Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules and company requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Maintain and update approved supplier/vendor lists.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns.
Market Research & Cost Awareness
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and availability of construction materials.
- Conduct regular benchmarking of material prices and supplier competitiveness.
- Provide accurate material cost insights to management and project teams.
Coordination with Internal Teams
- Collaborate with engineering, site, planning, and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical specifications and budget constraints.
- Support project managers with procurement schedules and material forecasts.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Review invoices, delivery notes, and ensure proper documentation for payments.
Reporting
- Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, material availability, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Present procurement updates and risk assessments to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 5 10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and suppliers.
- Experience in ERP systems Odoo .
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
