Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the acquisition of goods and services. This role focuses on cost-efficiency, quality assurance, and ensuring ethical sourcing across all business units in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve operational excellence and professional growth.

  • Vendor Strategy: Identify and manage a robust portfolio of suppliers, wholesalers, and brand distributors to support our e-commerce platform.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners to secure priority stock allocation and favorable terms.

  • Inventory Availability: Monitor real-time stock levels and coordinate frequent replenishments to ensure high availability for online customers.

  • SLA s Performance: Monitor vendor delivery performance and adherence to timelines at our warehouse, ensuring seamless stock intake.

  • Market Pricing: Regularly analyze market rates to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge and strong margins.

  • Assortment Growth: Continuously scout for new products and trends within the market to expand the e-commerce catalog.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for credit terms, volume discounts, and service level agreements.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, specifically within an e-commerce, FMCG, or high-turnover retail environment.

FMCG Expertise: Strong background in FMCG procurement, including handling fast-moving products, supplier coordination, stock replenishment, and pricing strategies.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, manage department KPIs, and drive strategic initiatives.

Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of the supply chain and an existing network of distributors and FMCG suppliers.

Computer Literate: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel is a must), Odoo ERP, and e-commerce backend management tools.

Inventory Logic: Strong understanding of Just-in-Time (JIT) stock management and demand forecasting.

Professional Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Language: Full professional proficiency in English.
