Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, technical requirements and
cost targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, project & facility management teams to identify equipment, materials and
services required (including long-lead items).
• Source, evaluate and pre-qualify vendors, request quotations, analyse technical/commercial offers and
recommend awards.
• Negotiate contracts, purchase orders and terms & conditions with suppliers/vendors to achieve best value,
quality and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedule, lead times and resolve procurement issues (delays,
quality non-conformance, logistics).
• Maintain and update procurement records, vendor databases, material master data, and cost-saving reports.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policy, Qatar import/export procedures, HSE/quality
standards, and vendor contractual obligations.
• Provide market intelligence on equipment trends, supplier capabilities and cost benchmarks to inform
sourcing decisions.
• Coordinate with logistics/warehouse/contracting teams to ensure timely receipt of materials/equipment
and optimal stock levels.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems (including e-procurement/CMMS
if applicable)
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or similar) or Supply Chain/Procurement
discipline.
• Proven experience (typically 8-10 years) in procurement within MEP contracting, facility management or
industrial environment (preferably in Qatar/GCC).
• Strong understanding of technical specifications for mechanical, electrical, automation and facility
equipment/systems.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency with procurement software / ERP systems and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Knowledge of Qatar customs/import regulations, and local supplier market is an advantage.
• Valid Qatar residency/work permit eligibility or transferable visa preferred.
Preferred:
• Exposure to facility management or MEP supply chains, e.g., spare parts, HVAC equipment, switchgear,
automation devices.
• Experience using computerized maintenance/asset management systems (CMMS) or inventory planning.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 certified environments (the company holds these
certifications).
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus
