Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will be joining the EPC team. They will be responsible for sourcing high-quality components, managing international and local supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to project sites. The procurement engineer should maintain high standards of cost-efficiency and compliance, with the aim of supporting our engineering and construction teams in delivering world-class solar solutions. This position will report directly to the Head of EPC and plays a central role in driving the company s growth.

The main responsibilities of the Procurement Engineer:

  • Supplier Management & Sourcing
    • Identify and evaluate new local and international suppliers.
    • Maintain and update the company vendor database.
    • Build and manage relationships with key suppliers.
    • Develop supplier evaluation and prequalification processes.
  • Procurement & Purchasing
    • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for solar PV components and construction materials.
    • Prepare BOQs, request quotations, and perform cost comparisons.
    • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
    • Issue purchase orders and track procurement activities.
    • Develop procurement strategies to optimize cost and delivery timelines.
  • Logistics & Import Management
    • Manage international logistics and import processes.
    • Coordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents for customs clearance.
    • Track shipments and ensure materials are delivered according to project schedules.
    • Optimize shipping methods and freight costs.
  • Compliance & Regulatory
    • Manage company and product registrations on the SABER platform.
    • Ensure imported products comply with Saudi regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor changes in SASO and import regulations affecting equipment.
  • Warehouse & Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
    • Track incoming and outgoing materials to support project requirements.
    • Coordinate deliveries to ensure materials are available according to project schedules.
    • Establish inventory control procedures to minimize losses and improve stock visibility.
  • Project Coordination & Reporting
    • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
    • Maintain procurement records and vendor data in ERP systems.
    • Support logistics and supply chain initiatives as required.
    • Provide procurement status updates and cost tracking for projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering / supply chain.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience in construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience dealing with the SABER platform and Saudi import regulations.
  • A good command of English and Arabic.
  • Confidence taking on responsibility, multitasking, and working independently.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A resourceful and independent attitude and the ability to problem solve.
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering to high standards.
  • A willingness to continue to learn, grow and develop professionally.

In addition, the following attributes would be an advantage:

  • Experience in procurement specifically for Solar PV systems or renewable energy.
  • Good knowledge of the solar PV value chain and global solar component markets.
  • Experience in construction management or electrical power systems.
  • Proficiency in using related software for supply chain management and reporting.
