Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective procurement, and complying with organizational procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations Prepare purchase requests, RFQs, and purchase orders Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors Maintain supplier database and procurement records Coordinate with finance for invoice processing and payments Monitor delivery timelines and resolve procurement issues Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approvals Support contract management and renewals
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field 2–4 years of procurement experience Knowledge of procurement procedures and contracts Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
Preferred
Experience in government or semi-government entities
CIPS certification or equivalent
