Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and execute procurement of goods and services (IT equipment, office supplies, security services, vehicles, stationery, consultants, etc.).

  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain a list of approved vendors and service providers.
  • Obtain and analyze quotations, bids, and proposals to ensure best value for money.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies, donor requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Prepare purchase orders and contracts in coordination with finance and legal teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality of goods/services.
  • Resolve supplier issues, disputes, or delays professionally.
  • Support budget preparation by providing procurement cost estimates.
  • Monitor procurement expenses against approved budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Prepare procurement reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Maintain procurement files, vendor databases, and contracts.
  • Provide management with procurement performance insights.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Prior Work Experience:

  • 2 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in microfinance, banking, NGO, or financial services.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • High integrity, transparency, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement systems, and ERP software.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
