Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and execute procurement of goods and services (IT equipment, office supplies, security services, vehicles, stationery, consultants, etc.).
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain a list of approved vendors and service providers.
- Obtain and analyze quotations, bids, and proposals to ensure best value for money.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and service-level agreements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies, donor requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts in coordination with finance and legal teams.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality of goods/services.
- Resolve supplier issues, disputes, or delays professionally.
- Support budget preparation by providing procurement cost estimates.
- Monitor procurement expenses against approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
- Prepare procurement reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Maintain procurement files, vendor databases, and contracts.
- Provide management with procurement performance insights.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Prior Work Experience:
- 2 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in microfinance, banking, NGO, or financial services.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and best practices.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- High integrity, transparency, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement systems, and ERP software.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
