Procurement Officer

Our client, a well-established organisation within the offshore and marine sector, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join their Dubai-based operations.

This role is ideal for a hands-on procurement professional with experience in sourcing, supplier management, and logistics coordination, preferably within offshore, marine, or oil & gas environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services to support ongoing projects and vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from requisition to purchase order and delivery
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve best value, quality, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate procurement for vessel operations, offshore projects, and onshore requirements
• Maintain and develop a reliable supplier database and relationships
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and logistics teams
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and procedures
• Track orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve any supply chain issues
• Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings
• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including operations, finance, and technical teams

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Procurement Officer or Buyer role, ideally within offshore marine, oil & gas, or related industries
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain coordination
• Experience sourcing technical, marine, or engineering-related materials
• Good negotiation and commercial awareness
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
