Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Work in a dynamic and informal environment in East Amman to manage procurement activities at the two community centers in the Amman Downtown and in Hashemi Shamali. Oversee CRP inventory. Manage relations with CRP suppliers.

A) Logistics Coordination, Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans.
  • Source suppliers and obtain quotations for goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and third parties.
  • Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials to and from various locations.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and address any delays or issues promptly.
  • Implement efficient logistics strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update contact databases of suppliers.
  • Maintain stock balances.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as instructed by your line manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement, logistics and warehousing.
  • Preferred to be having a vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Strong computer skills especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of donor funding regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.

Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots effort in Amman, Jordan that has provided much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities since 2006. We seek to assist those in need, foster social cohesion, offer learning opportunities, and help in building peace and reconciliation. Our services are provided regardless of background, and we currently provide assistance to people from many nationalities (e.g. Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia).

CRP s holistic approach involves deep community engagement, where we help individuals build resilience and heal from trauma. CRP provides a variety of educational, recreational, and wellness activities, which aid our community to gain skills and build community. Additionally, we provide community service and leadership opportunities for people to serve others, which has proven to be a key driver of empowerment and resilience. CRP s greatest strengths are the deep knowledge and trust we have established with the community we serve, our commitment to community-based engagement, and our ability to develop nuanced, cost-effective, and impactful programs.
