Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The job holder is responsible for managing the processes, and strategic initiatives within the procurement function to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing. The job holder oversees project portfolios, supplier relationship management, performance reporting (KPIs).

Key Accountabilities

  • Enforcing procurement policies, standards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and methodologies across the organization to ensure compliance.
  • Overseeing strategic sourcing projects, maintaining project trackers, and ensuring timely delivery of procurement initiatives.
  • Creating dashboards and reporting on supplier performance, cost-saving targets for the strategic initiatives, and KPIs for executive review.
  • Analyzing spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamlining end-to-end procurement processes.
  • Tracking on projects status & progress with internal stakeholders (Business Users, Procurement team) and external stakeholders (Suppliers)
  • Driving digital enablement, managing procurement software/ERP tools, and improving data analytics.
  • Provide regular reporting on the procurement initiative status and progress
  • Any other task handed over by the function head.
  • To perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, and to report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to Data Control Department immediately. In addition, ensure that all team members are following policies mentioned.
  • Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Procurement or Project Management.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a similar role

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge in Procurement & Supply Chain.
  • Extensive knowledge in Project management.
  • Strong experience in telecom industry.
