Roles & Responsibilities
Overview
This role will lead on management of sub consultant frameworks and supply base. It will also support category strategy for sub consultants and project sourcing. The role ensures frameworks are performance led, aligned to category strategy, and integrated within consistent sourcing processes.
Your role
Lead on Sub Consultant Frameworks & Supply Base
Maintain and refresh sub consultant frameworks to reflect market capacity and business needs.
Design and operate supplier performance criteria, refresh cycles, and escalation routes.
Introduce performance tracking and use insights to drive improvement and supply base optimisation.
Ensure frameworks are actively used, reducing maverick sourcing and improving mobilisation speed.
Identify capacity gaps, capability risks, and opportunities to streamline the supply base.
Support Category Strategy Management for Sub Consultants
Support the definition of in house vs outsource principles.
Provide supply base insight to inform decision making playbooks.
Ensure category strategy inputs are aligned with framework structure and performance data.
Coordinate across technical, commercial, and capacity stakeholders to shape category strategy
Support Standardised, Auditable Project Sourcing
Support definition of mandatory sourcing steps and audit ready documentation requirements.
Ensure frameworks integrate with standardised sourcing pathways.
Provide supplier and framework insights to improve sourcing quality and defensibility.
Support continuous refinement of sourcing processes based on lessons learned.
Provide guidance on ERP use of all sourcing activities
About you
- 5+ years experience in procurement, category management, or supplier management.
- Experience managing frameworks or preferred supplier lists.
- Strong understanding of sourcing governance and audit requirements.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret performance data.
- Experience with ERP/SRM platforms (SAP/Ariba or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams.
