Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source materials and equipment locally and internationally.

  • Negotiate with vendors and ensure compliance with Saudi standards (SASO, SEC, SABER, Aramco/SABIC if applicable).

  • Coordinate with purchasers and project technical teams to pre-evaluate specifications and requirements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth future transactions.

  • Use software tools like spreadsheets to improve procurement efficiency.

  • Maintain strict follow-ups through email and other communication channels.

  • Prepare daily procurement and status reports.

  • Manage contracts, deliveries, and supplier evaluations.

  • Request for Quotation (RFQ), evaluate bids, negotiate pricing, terms, and warranties.

  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Draft and review Purchase Orders (POs), Contracts, and Service Agreements.

  • Ensure suppliers comply with Saudi import/export regulations and customs clearance requirements.

  • Monitor adherence to contractual obligations such as delivery times, quality, and penalties.

  • Align procurement activities with project budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Track price fluctuations and recommend cost-saving strategies.

  • Coordinate shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, storage, and site delivery schedules.

  • Handle discrepancies, delays, or damages in deliveries.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities (RFQs, POs, contracts, delivery notes).

  • Track vendor performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Future Use: Procurement management across construction, oil & gas, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.

  • 3 6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, industrial, or oil & gas projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Saudi standards (SASO, SEC, SABER, Aramco/SABIC) and import/export regulations.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and meet project deadlines.

  • Knowledge of contracts, POs, and supply chain management best practices.
