Purpose of Job

The product analyst is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of bank clearing business products. Responsible for establishing relevant systems and processes for clearing operations. Responsible for promoting clearing products within the designated region, collecting customer feedback, and continuously optimizing and improving product functionalities and features. Responsible for engaging operations in clearing business.

Key Responsibilities

Results Expected

Product Development of Payment & Settlement

• Proficient in SWIFT/CIPS/CBUAE FTS&WSI/IPP services
• Propose business requirements of development or optimization of payment business system functions
• Test and verify related IT system functions
• Formulate clearing product processes and procedures
• Promote RMB clearing related services based on regional market characteristics

Operations

• Manage daily processing of clearing, treasury products, money market, foreign exchange, interest rate swap, bond insurance, bond investment and bond repo.
• Payment investigations and AML processing and verification on payments as and when required
• Prepare management reports, internal reports and regulatory reports
• Execute transactions on relevant settlement and clearing systems
• Provide assistance to senior management to develop and implement workflow procedures and guidelines, new products and services

Monitoring and Maintenance

• Extract and organize complex data for analysis and trending for pricing model
• Monitor VOSTRO, NOSTRO and relevant suspense accounts
• Ensure all the daily activities of settlement, credit control and risk management, finance etc. are in compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
• Monitoring IRS/CCS daily margin and guarantying adequacy ratio monitoring

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Role Related Experience

• 3+ years experience in a Bank
• Experience in banking operations, payments and settlement system with the ability to understand a large range of financial products in depth
• Possesses excellent communication and market development skills

Knowledge and Technical Skills

• Knowledge of treasury products
• Strong background across payments and settlement within banking or trading environment.
• Understanding of SWIFT/CIPS rules and practice is essential
• Understanding of AML/CTF is desirable.
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelors degree or higher in a Finance, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics
