Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Product Management:
- Coordinate with the design, production, and merchandising teams to develop and manage new collections and product lines.
- Ensure product specifications, pricing, and quality standards are maintained across all stages of production.
- Monitor product performance, sales trends, and inventory turnover to support strategic planning.
- Liaise with factory teams to manage sample development, approvals, and production schedules.
Factory & Production Oversight:
- Supervise daily production activities in the jewellery manufacturing unit, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor raw material usage, labour efficiency, and wastage control.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, including shipments between factory, warehouse, and retail outlets.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs, and transport vendors for smooth import/export processes.
- Maintain documentation for shipments, insurance, customs clearance, and compliance.
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment.
Inventory & Materials Management:
- Oversee material procurement (gold, gemstones, findings, packaging) and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to ensure accurate inventory reporting.
- Manage product labelling, barcoding, and traceability systems.
Team & Coordination:
- Lead and train production and logistics staff, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, and Retail teams for demand forecasting and product availability.
- Report regularly to management on production performance, delays, and cost efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing or product/logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery production processes (goldsmithing, setting, polishing, finishing).
- Experience in handling ERP systems and inventory software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export documentation, and logistics handling.
