Role & Responsibilities :

• Creating and developing a strategic long-term plan for the development of the category.
• Category Growth: Driving marketplace growth of the relevant category while considering the consumer and competition.
• Responsible for category ranging, pricing, and promotions across channels.
• Placing appropriate orders to ensure product availability meets demand.
• Leading category management projects to optimize ranges and related merchandising.
• Collaborating with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
• Creating forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory.
• Managing budget development and revenue for the category.
• Responsible for merchandising, assortment planning, option plans pre-season as well as in season to ensure that the Category is well represented.
• Should be able to identify broader trends and fill category gaps.
• Developing strong working relationships with buying, marketing and sales teams.
• Owning P&L for the relevant category in alignment with business goals. The Category manager would be responsible for the revenue targets as well as the gross margins.
