Product Design & Development Engineer

Develop concepts, detailed 3D models, and drawings for new and existing products optimised for AM and machining.

Prepare print-ready files (stock, supports, build validation) and update manufacturing documentation (MPS, routings, travellers).

Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and validation testing (prototypes, coupons, functional trials).

Initiate and oversee AM builds, coordinate post-processing and inspections, and hand over to production.

Maintain full project records (design files, BOMs, MPS, QC reports, images) and ensure material and part traceability

Create/maintain manufacturing routings and data in ERP; monitor actual vs estimated cost and highlight gaps.

Log non-conformities, deviations, and incidents in ERP; support disposition and corrective actions.

Work with Production and Quality to refine designs, tolerances, build strategies, and routings for repeatable high-yield production.

Identify and implement improvements to reduce print time, scrap, and rework, and to standardise best practices for serial builds.

Submit finished parts to QC; support incoming/final inspections and defect analysis.

Maintain 5S, follow safety instructions, and report incidents and near misses.

Propose enhancements to design-for-AM, design-for-manufacture, and documentation workflows
