Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the product development process from concept to bulk production, ensuring alignment with buyer requirements and quality standards.

Oversee R&D initiatives including pattern development, fit approvals, and sample execution.

Drive the transition from manual to digital pattern-making systems and standardized workflows.

Collaborate with automation and software partners to integrate CAD and digital design tools into production systems.

Partner with cross-functional teams in Design, Merchandising, and Production to ensure seamless product realization.

Monitor performance, identify process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements in cost, quality, and speed-to-market.

Desired Candidate Profile

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the product development process from concept to bulk production, ensuring alignment with buyer requirements and quality standards.
  • Oversee R&D initiatives including pattern development, fit approvals, and sample execution.
  • Drive the transition from manual to digital pattern-making systems and standardized workflows.

Pre Requisites

  • Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Textile & Apparel Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 10 years experience in Product Development or R&D within the apparel industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, and sewing operations.
  • Experience in embroidery or embellishment would be a plus.
  • Proven proficiency in CAD systems such as Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or Tukatech.
  • Exposure to process automation, digital transformation, or industrial engineering initiatives in apparel manufacturing.
