Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit
End to end team output strategy from inception to production
Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align within team strategy and requirements
Accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders
Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
Deliver multiple, concurrent projects and business area backlog items with responsibility for all business change elements
Lead and coordinate change activity, working with lead translators / program managers to maintain a strategic delivery roadmap
Manage projects of varying ‘scale’ as well as business area backlog items from idea through to delivery and closure, adopting proportionate governance and using the established change delivery framework
Maintain momentum and direction, delivering to the agreed scope, timeframe and budget with resource planning and accurate estimation treated as fundamental principles
Practice a progressive stakeholder management approach, building invested relationships, and where appropriate, employing an agreed engagement & communication plan
Actively manage project risks, issues and dependencies
Plan and coordinate work with other internal departments to ensure internal resource requirements are understood and the right resources are available when required
Direct the activities of third-party providers (vendors, consultants etc.), ensuring delivery to time, quality and budget
Report progress to Lead translator and other business senior members through established monthly reporting or equivalent.
Facilitates release planning with stakeholders as well as weekly demos
Is a key role on Agile team(s) and works onsite with the team on a daily basis
Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
Align outward facing product requirements and stakeholders
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in engineering or relevant business function
Minimum Experience:
Overall 7 years’ experience with minimum of 4 years in metal and mining industry and energy. Good experience profile leading agile projects as a product owner and as a scrum master.
Formal project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management or equivalent
Proven understanding of project management techniques in an agile environment
Excellent project coordinator that can plan 2-3 steps ahead of the team and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep within the team.
Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant industry
Excellent Knowledge and understanding of technical engineering best practices (e.g., test driven development, continuous integration, etc.)
Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principles
Excellent knowledge on tracking and analytics setup
Proficient with drawing storyboards, creating wireframes, creating / ‘grooming’ product backlogs, writing user stories and developing acceptance criteria
Relentless prioritization and alignment with business and IT stakeholders to ensure highest value capture
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior client business and IT executives on transforming towards agile
Ability to move between strategic discussions with senior business leaders to tackle on the ground agile coaching with teams
Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business
Demonstrable experience of managing the delivery of complex business change projects within Data Transformation
Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse change portfolio with concurrent initiatives underpinned by proven dexterity, creativity and the efficient use of resources
Solid experience of all stages of the project delivery and software development life cycle
Experience of engaging and managing third parties (vendors, consultants etc.)
Strong planning and control expertise
Experience working with design team to deliver top user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)
Good to have experience delivering advance analytics, digital, automation and robotization project experience.
Good to have IT, automation & control system experience and training in similar fields.
Our technology stack comprises Azure, Power BI, Sparx, Python, R, Synapse and SQL Server. Knowledge of these technologies would be beneficial, as well as an appreciation of Big Data and real time analytics.
