We are seeking a highly experienced Production Chemicals Specialist to support upstream oil & gas operations, with a strong focus on crude oil treatment, emulsion control, and separation performance optimisation across both field and laboratory environments.

The role sits within a specialty oilfield chemicals platform, delivering advanced production chemical solutions in collaboration with leading industry partners. The position plays a key role in field performance optimisation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of chemical treatment programs.

Designation :- Production Chemicals Specialist – Upstream Oil & Gas

Role Overview: The Demulsifier Specialist will lead laboratory and field activities related to the selection and optimization of demulsifiers for crude oil treatment. This role combines bottle testing expertise with strong field exposure, ensuring effective oil-water separation across upstream and downstream operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct bottle tests to evaluate and select the most effective demulsifier formulations

• Interpret crude oil and emulsion characteristics to guide chemical selection

• Support and monitor field trials, ensuring optimal performance of demulsification programs

• Troubleshoot separation issues and optimize ongoing chemical treatments

• Work closely with operations and production teams to enhance crude stabilization and separation efficiency

• Provide clear technical reporting and recommendations to clients and internal teams

• Contribute proactively to continuous improvement of chemical treatment strategies

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry

• Knowledge of surfactant chemistry

• Solid understanding of crude oil stabilization and separation processes (upstream and downstream)

• At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in demulsifier selection as a primary and continuous responsibility

• Proven track record in field troubleshooting of demulsification treatments

• Previous experience with a chemical service company or a demulsifier raw material manufacturer

• Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong plus

• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
