Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Plan, coordinate, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for HVAC duct fabrication (GI ducts, fire-rated ducts, insulation, accessories)

  2. Coordinate with planning, design, and project teams to ensure timely project execution

  3. Ensure production output meets approved drawings, specifications, and material submittals

  4. Supervise fabrication activities including cutting, bending, sealing, flanging, and assembly

  5. Ensure compliance with HVAC standards such as SMACNA, DW/144, ASHRAE, and project requirements

  6. Conduct quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy, air leakage compliance, and workmanship standards

  7. Implement corrective actions for non-conformance issues

  8. Monitor and control raw material usage (GI sheets, sealants, gaskets, insulation materials)

  9. Reduce wastage and optimize material utilization

  10. Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely material availability

  11. Supervise technicians, machine operators, and helpers; allocate manpower effectively

  12. Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe working practices

  13. Oversee duct fabrication machines (TDF/TDC, plasma cutting, lock-forming machines, etc.)

  14. Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

  15. Support cost reduction initiatives and improve production efficiency

  16. Prepare daily production reports, KPIs, NCRs, and documentation

  17. Support audits and client inspections when required

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field

  2. 5–10 years of experience in HVAC ducting or sheet metal fabrication industry (mandatory/preferred)

  3. Strong knowledge of HVAC duct fabrication processes (GI ducts, fire-rated ducts, insulation, accessories)

  4. Good understanding of HVAC standards such as SMACNA, DW/144, ASHRAE, and project specifications

  5. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, BOQs, and technical documents

  6. Hands-on experience in production planning, workflow management, and manpower coordination

  7. Knowledge of duct fabrication machinery (TDF/TDC, plasma cutting, lock-forming machines)

  8. Strong understanding of material control and inventory management

  9. Experience in quality control, inspections, and NCR handling

  10. Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems is an advantage

  11. Strong leadership and team management skills

  12. Good problem-solving, communication, and reporting abilities

  13. Knowledge of HSE standards in manufacturing/production environment
