Boghossian Foundation - SILA Project

The Boghossian Foundation based in Brussels Villa Empain, is promoting dialogue between the cultures of the East and West; through temporary exhibitions, as well as cultural programs including live arts, talks and lectures. Its values are based on the concept of discovery, dialogue and exchange between cultures, epochs, regions and techniques.


SILA is a non-profit design and crafts initiative conceived by the Boghossian Foundation. Its aim is to promote, preserve and offer a contemporary perspective on traditional crafts, know-how and oriental cultures through the creation of an edition of objects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate production between craftsmen, designers, and the SILA team

Systematically follow up on the production of each item, from the design stage to the final

product

Source reliable partners and suppliers to support the project, including shipping companies, packaging services, communications, photography, and videography

Manage inventory and oversee storage operations in Beirut

Conduct in-depth research on the history and cultural significance of traditional crafts in the Middle East


EDUCATION:

Bachelor or Master Degree

Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is required; French and Armenian are

considered an asset

Dynamic, proactive, hands on, autonomous individual

Organized, structured and resourceful

Experience or affinity with design & craftsmanship is a plus

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required

A valid driving license is mandatory
