Production Manager- Corn Flakes Manufacturing JOY FOOD TRADING COMPANY

Oversees all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material handling to finish product packaging, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include managing production lines, optimizing efficiency, maintaining equipment, supervising staff, and collaborating with other departments like quality assurance and supply chain to meet production targets and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and control the daily production of corn flakes, ensuring output meets quality and quantity targets. Implement best practices in manufacturing, such as efficient raw material processing, dough preparation, extrusion, and flaking, to reduce waste and improve yield. Ensure that the final corn flakes meet all quality specifications, including taste, texture, and nutritional content, working with the quality assurance team. Supervise, train, and motivate the production staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment. Oversee the maintenance and operation of manufacturing equipment, including grain mills, steam cookers, extruders, and cooling systems. Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards. Monitor raw material levels and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of ingredients. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production department to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a strong experience in cereal manufacturing. Required qualifications or technical certifications Masters in Food technology or relevant qualification Deep understanding of the corn flakes production process, from raw corn preparation to final product packaging. Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of workers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production challenges. Experience in quality control and food safety standards relevant to the cereal industry. Familiarity with food processing equipment and technology. Effective communication skills to liaise with different departments and stakeholders.
