Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:
Manage daily operations in the mill
Ensure adherence to approved production plans
Achieve production targets on efficiency, runnability, waste control and output quality
Monitor shift performance and enforce operational KPIs
Optimize machine performance with minimum downtime
Ensure optimal coordination between production shifts, planning and maintenance
QUALITY AND PROCESS CONTROL:
Ensure consistent adherence to quality specifications during all production stages
Ensure full compliance with international standards and customer-specific requirements through
proactive safety, environmental and quality leadership
Strengthen quality culture by training teams, upholding discipline, and ensuring proactive prevention
of non-conformities
TEAM AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:
Direct, develop and support a high-performing production team, through performance management
techniques, operational discipline and clear benchmarking
Efficiently streamline the workforce to achieve maximum productivity and output
Ensure strong communication between production shifts and all other departments
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE:
Enforce safety protocols and proper machine handling
Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and waste management procedures
REPORTING AND COORDINATION:
Analyze daily production feasibility and allocate required resources
Provide accurate reporting of downtime, waste and productivity trends
Support production planning, scheduling and changeovers
Ensure proper documentation and traceability for production activities
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in a technical field (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
15+ years of experience in paper mill operations
Experience in leading large teams in paper production
Deep understanding of paper machine operations and machinery
Strong commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction
Ability to react quickly to operational disruptions and ensure fast root-cause resolution
High discipline and safety-first mindset
Confident leadership and team management abilities
Data interpretation skills and comfort with production reporting systems
Action oriented, proactive, innovative and process improvement focused
Strong communication skills and ability to work under high pressure
