Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, organised, and technically competent Production Manager – Fire Fighting Pumps to oversee the complete manufacturing cycle of fire pumps, ensuring high-quality output, on-time delivery, and compliance with industry and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, production planning expertise, and in-depth knowledge of fire pump systems and manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end production of fire fighting pumps, including assembly, testing, quality checks, and dispatch.
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet delivery targets.
  • Supervise production teams, ensuring adherence to procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, QA/QC, planning, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor production KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, UL/FM, and other relevant fire protection standards.
  • Oversee testing procedures, performance checks, and troubleshooting of pump systems.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials, components, and consumables.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Prepare and review production reports, cost analyses, and operational documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in pump manufacturing; fire fighting pump experience preferred (UL/FM processes are an advantage).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven experience in production planning, process optimisation, and factory operations.
  • Good knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
