Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title: Production Manager

Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Factory Manager

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all manufacturing activities related to injection molding and automated production systems. The role ensures optimal utilization of resources, high product quality, process efficiency, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The candidate must have technical expertise in injection molding machines, automation systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production operations.

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.

  • Optimize machine utilization, cycle times, and overall equipment efficiency

  • Supervise and coordinate production teams, including technicians, operators, and supervisors.

  • Ensure proper setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding machines and automation equipment (robots, conveyors, PLC systems).

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, customer specifications).

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

  • Manage raw material usage and minimize waste and scrap rates.

  • Support new product introduction (NPI), mold trials, and process validation.

  • Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse to ensure material availability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • 10-15 years of experience in Engineering & manufacturing and Maintenance .

  • Has experience in injection molding processes (plastic preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and sensors.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of injection molding parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, cooling).

  • Experience with machine brands such as Engel, Husky, Arburg, or similar.

  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).

  • Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics integration, and SCADA systems.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
