Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules and workflows.
- Monitor production timelines to ensure delivery targets are met.
- Evaluate the performances of production staffs and assign tasks.
- Conduct training sessions for new employees and staffs.
- Monitor team performance and encourage productivity and morale.
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Control production costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to the production department.
- Reduce waste and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to prevent downtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
- Address and report workplace hazards promptly.
- Act as a liaison between different departments (e.g., Procurement, Production, QA, sales).
- Report production progress to the management.
- Resolve issues that may affect production output or timelines.
- Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate procurement.
- Ensure just-in-time inventory to avoid overstock or shortages.
- Work with suppliers and logistics to streamline production input flow.
- Prepare production reports and maintain records.
- Analyze data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new manufacturing technologies.
- Drive innovation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing principles.
· Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
