Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Machine Operation:

1. Set up and operate slitting machines according to production orders and specifications.

2. Load jumbo rolls onto the machine using cranes or lifting equipment. Adjust blades, tension, speed, and alignment for different material types and thicknesses.

3. Monitor the slitting process to ensure consistent output quality and size accuracy.

Quality Control:

1. Inspect finished rolls for defects such as uneven cuts, edge damage, or wrinkles.

2. Measure width and roll tension to ensure conformity to specifications.

3. Identify and report any quality issues or material defects to the supervisor.

Machine Maintenance:

1. Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of slitting machines (e.g., blade changes, lubrication).

2. Report mechanical problems or breakdowns immediately for corrective action.

Production Reporting:

1. Record production data, downtime, material usage, and output in log sheets or ERP systems.

2. Coordinate with warehouse and packing staff for labeling and roll transfer.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

1. High School Certificate / ITI or Technical Diploma preferred.

2. 2-5 years of relevant experience operating slitting machines in plastic or paper industries.

3. Gulf experience preferred but not mandatory.

4. Basic knowledge of English
