As an Production Supervisor (Upholstery Section) at ALEC FITOUT, you’ll play a key role in supervising and coordinating upholstery operations within the joinery factory. About Your Team

You will report to the Commercial Manager and play a pivotal role within the Commercial Department, coordinating with project managers, design, procurement, and production teams to align upholstery activities with project timelines and ensure seamless execution.

Your Role

As an Production Supervisor (Upholstery Section), you will oversee daily upholstery operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and supervising daily upholstery section activities

• Allocating tasks to upholsterers and monitoring productivity and performance

• Ensuring all upholstery works are completed as per drawings, specifications, and deadlines

• Coordinating with design, cutting, and production teams to resolve technical issues

• Conducting quality checks at various stages to maintain high standards

• Monitoring material usage and coordinating with stores for fabric, foam, and accessories

• Training and mentoring team members to improve skills and output quality

• Reporting progress, issues, and resource requirements to management

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years in upholstery within joinery, furniture, or fit-out environments, with supervisory experience

Knowledge: Upholstery techniques, materials, tools, and workshop workflows

Expertise: Fabric handling, foam applications, upholstery tools, and quality control processes

Top Skills

• Qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience

• Strong technical knowledge of upholstery materials, techniques, and tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and attention to detail

• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage
