Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

The University Professor is responsible for teaching, research, and mentoring students at college level. The primary duties of a University Professor include developing and delivering lectures, leading seminars and discussion groups, designing and grading assignments, and providing academic guidance and support to students. The university professor is responsible for four domains, respectively: Research, Enterprise and innovation, Academic Leadership, Teaching & Learning as per university rules and regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and deliver lectures and course materials for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
  • Lead in delivering relevant research activities.
  • Produce significant research outputs with national and international impact.
  • Support in developing and sustaining research culture within the university
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Dean

General Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in a relevant academic discipline
  • 10 Years of teaching experience at the college or university level
  • Master s and bachelor s degrees in the related field
  • The ability to speak and write fluently in Arabic and English
  • Substantial research output of national and/or international recognition
  • Proven academic and research excellence in their field of expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills
  • A good record of attending conferences and academic events.
  • Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to engage with a range of professionals and students
  • Priority for Omanis

Desired Candidate Profile

A Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in a relevant academic discipline
