Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Programme Director to lead a flagship water and drainage infrastructure programme in the UAE. The role demands an exceptional leader with a proven record of delivering complex, large-scale water and wastewater projects, ensuring world-class standards of quality, safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction across all phases of the programme, from planning to commissioning.
  • Oversee multiple large-scale water and drainage projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory standards, and sustainability goals.
  • Develop and implement programme management frameworks, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, and key stakeholders to facilitate smooth approvals and delivery.
  • Drive innovation, risk management, and value engineering throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all works.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 20 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, treatment plants, pumping stations, and drainage networks.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering mega infrastructure programmes in the Middle East or internationally.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multi-billion-dollar programmes.
  • In-depth knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract management systems.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cultural awareness skills; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
