Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential programming concepts suitable for secondary education.
  • Engage students through practical coding sessions and projects, fostering hands-on learning experiences.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess students progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their programming skills.
  • Encourage student-led projects and collaboration to build teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest programming trends and pedagogical methods in technology education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall technology curriculum and participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.

  • Teaching certification and previous experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in various programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that motivate and challenge students.
  • Commitment to student learning and providing a supportive educational experience.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to inspire the next generation of programmers.
