Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the AVRR Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Head of Registration Center, the Registration Case worker will support the Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) Counseling and Registration team.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the migration context in Algeria.

  • Ability to collect and analyze data related to case management.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and keep deadlines.

  • Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles.

  • Computer/software literate, preferably knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, MiMOSA, and survey tools, particularly Kobo, are an advantage;

  • Good communication skills, personal commitment, efficiency and flexibility.

Languages

REQUIRED

For all applicants, fluency in French is required (oral and written).

DESIRABLE

Working knowledge of Arabic and English.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Political or Social Sciences, Development Studies, Human Rights, International Relations, Law Studies and/or related field with 2 years of work experience in programme implementation and administrative and financial support, particularly in the fields of migration and technical cooperation.

  • Alternatively, a high school degree in one of the afore mentioned fields with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience

  • Experience in AVR.

  • Experience in case management is an asset.

  • Proven field experience is an asset.

  • Experience in working with governmental authorities, UN agencies and/or donor agencies is an asset.
