International Organization for Migration
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. The Migration & Development Unit works with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver on the promise of migration by promoting regular pathways and addressing the drivers of irregular migration including through youth empowerment, climate action, diaspora engagement, educational pathways, and labour migration. Within the M&D portfolio in IOM Tunisia, the Youth Empowermeent Pillar aims to support and accompany youth at risk of irregular migration, in particular those who have already tried to cross the border in an irregular way. The team s work focuses on strengthening youth-related services by delivering technical support and capacity building to key stakeholders at national and regional level, including the Youth centres at local level providing community-based cultural, educational, and sports activities. The action will target disadvantaged young women and men, especially those at risk of irregular migration, by offering tailored services designed to enhance their employability skills and support sustainable livelihood./p>
