Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project control processes, including cost management, scheduling, and performance tracking for fiber rollout projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical paths and ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Analyse project performance metrics, prepare variance reports, and provide actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure accurate cost estimates, resource allocation, and schedule adherence.
  • Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies to address cost overruns, delays, or scope changes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies.
  • Maintain and update project control tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project control teams, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field; PMP, CCP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls or project management, with at least 10 years in telecommunications, preferably in fiber optic rollout projects.
  • Proven expertise in cost control, scheduling, and performance monitoring for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, particularly fiber optic network deployment.
  • Proficiency in project control tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading project control teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and external contractors.
