Job Description

A Project Controller is a vital role in project management, responsible for the financial, strategic, and operational oversight of a project. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, stakeholders, and various departments to track project progress, forecast financial outcomes, and conduct risk assessments. The Project Controller is also responsible for preparing detailed reports and analyses on project performance, contributing to the strategic planning and decision-making process. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring they align with financial objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and variances to ensure timely decision-making and corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for management, outlining project performance and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project managers to understand project scope and define cost structures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project issues.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards across all project activities.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to manage vendor contracts and expenditures.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.
  • Develop and implement project control processes for efficient project administration.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to support alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on financial control policies and systems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, business management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management or financial control roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including Excel, and ERP systems is necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for effective project documentation.
