Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the overall strategic direction and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Provide decisive leadership and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee the development and management of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, including technical, financial, and contractual issues, to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including technical drawings, specifications, and progress reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in a project management leadership role.
  • Demonstrates extensive experience in the construction industry with a proven track record of successfully delivering major construction projects.
  • Displays exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting capabilities.
  • Exhibits excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively manage subcontractors and vendors.
