Roles & Responsibilities

Project Engineer – Civil (Substation/TRANSCO competent)

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, specifically within the substation projects segment. Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in substation projects. Proven experience in substation projects, specifically involving GIB foundation, switchgear, control room, and transformer bay. Previous work experience with DEWA and Transco substation projects will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage civil engineering projects related to substations from initiation to completion.

· Coordinate with various teams, including design, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure project requirements are met.

· Review and approve project plans, drawings, and specifications.

· Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets.

· Conduct site inspections, report on progress, and address any issues that arise.

· Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

· Ensure adherence to Transco standards and other regulatory requirements.

· Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
  • Equivalence certificate is required
  • TRANSCO/TAQA competency is mandatory
  • ADM license – Practicing Engineer approved from Abu Dhabi Municipality
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
